April has been another busy month for the Lake Buena Vista team. In addition to our spring break visitors, the Resort has had many international guests interested in learning more about how they can obtain a Green Card and permanent U.S. residence through the government approved, EB-5 program. Since the Resort is located in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA), the investment amount is quite reasonable for many investors. In the weeks and months ahead, we look forward to many more opportunities to show off our award-winning Resort.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Team was happy to learn that a recent survey ranked Orlando the #1 convention site for corporate planners. The survey also found that more planners intend to hold a meeting in Orlando rather than any other North American location during the next three years. Orlando also ranked among the top 10 sites for travel destination and convention center attributes such as convention center reputation, food service, adequate nearby hotels, sufficient exhibit space and a supportive convention bureau. This was great news for us since the Lake Buena Vista Resort is only minutes away from the Orlando Convention Center.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort team was excited to learn that Merlin Entertainments Group would be building the world’s largest Legoland in Central Florida. The end of 2011 should see its completion. The park’s location is planned for the former site of Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven. This is great news as it brings new jobs to the area and an added boast to the economy. Since it is a short drive from the Lake Buena Vista Resort, this is just one more benefit of staying with us.

This month, several family reunions were organized at the Resort. People from as far away as Arizona and Colorado gathered to enjoy time together at the Resort and area theme parks. They loved the spacious condos with full kitchen including washer/dryer and TVs in every bedroom. They took pleasure in lounging poolside at Pirate’s Plunge, dipping in a hot tub, sliding down the thrilling waterslide in the pirate ship, ordering lunch, or sipping a tropical drink at the Lani Luau tiki bar. Kids and adults alike took advantage of the numerous games and pool tables in the Game Room. Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grille was the perfect meeting and dining place with plenty of room for everyone. Reflections Spa-Salon was a relaxing alternative for many of the guests, too.

June’s American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) annual conference in Las Vegas was well attended. Lake Buena Vista Resort’s booth generated a good deal of activity. Being a ‘Platinum’ regional center that is open and operating was a big draw for the many U.S. and international attorneys that stopped by our booth. Our immediate cash flow for EB5 investors was another plus.
