 March 12, 2009 - United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announces that the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Pilot Program has been extended through September 30, 2009 due to the signing of the "Fiscal 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Bill." March 12, 2009 - USCIS announced that a competitive Grant program is being offered through Grants.gov for a $1.2 million Grant program to support citizenship preparation programs for legal Permanent residents. March 18, 2009 - The Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (Ombudsman) has reviewed the USCIS policies and processes concerning the Employment Creation EB-5 Immigrant Visa, and proposed recommendations that USCIS should implement to stabilize and energize the program to facilitate a healthy, vigorous, smooth-running immigrant visa program.  |
