Foreign investment in USA EB-5 green card program jumps 30 percent

The number of foreigners (including investors and their immediate family members) who obtained EB-5 visas nearly tripled in the past fiscal year, according to the U.S. State Department.  Most were from Asia, particularly China and South Korea.

An article in the Washington Post credits increased interest in EB-5 visas in part to the U.S. government and its efforts to streamline the program and improve administration of the complex rules that once discouraged potential investors.  Several scholars expect the number to double again this year.  To read the entire article, go to http://bit.ly/7bf6xI.
