U.S. Travel Promotion Act a “Terrific Opportunity” For Orlando
U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law today the Travel Promotion Act designed to encourage international travel to the U.S. and better explain travel security policies to foreign nationals. The U.S. Travel Association praised the legislation for making travel to and within the U.S. a high priority. It is expected to attract an additional 1.6 million people to the U.S.
Gary Sain, president of the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, called the bill “a terrific opportunity for Orlando to grow in the international market that continues to be a great economic driver in the U.S.” He expects at least 160,000 people could visit Central Florida within the next year as a result of the legislation.
